 Mise-en-scene:

Is the stage design and arrangement of actors in scenes for a theatre or film production, both in visual arts through storyboarding, visual theme, and cinematography, and in narrative storytelling through direction.

Notes:

Mise-en-scene allows the viewer to experience place and time.

Set: Location, dressing, spacing, time of day, design, décor, prop selection, light up setup, costuming, and etc... all play a role in shaping the overall design.

How does Aesthetic establish the scene.`

When analyzing Mise-en-scene, you have too see the overall visual composition of the shot, acting is apart Mise-en-scene, lighting is a element of mise-en-scene

The visual elements of mise-en-scene are all crucial to shaping our sympathy for, and understanding of the characters shaped by them.

Although every movie has a mise-en-scene, in some movies the various elements of mise-en-scene are so powerful that they enable the viewer to experience the aura of a place and time.

Reflection
